CAPRICORN RIGGING SERVICES

Capricorn was founded by Tony Williams after his early career in the United Kingdom’s entertainment industry. In 1975, Tony became the preferred rigger at Festival Hall, the Palais Theatre, and the Sidney Myer Music Bowl—establishing relationships that have endured for more than 40 years.

 

In 1983, Capricorn was engaged for the opening event at the Melbourne Sports and Entertainment Centre, now known as Melbourne Park. Working closely with the venue’s builders and engineers, Irwin and Johnson, we secured structural drawings and weight-load specifications to ensure all safety requirements were met.

 

By 1988, after five years of successful collaboration with Melbourne Park’s staff and management, Capricorn was invited to assist in the design of the venue’s production grid. To this day, we continue to provide expert rigging services, prioritising experience, safety, and efficiency for every event at Melbourne Park.
